Assisting elderly, developmentally disabled people in all aspects of their daily lives. Cooking, cleaning, meds, appts, daily hygiene, trips, fun activities and fun in the community.
Assisted various clients, most of whom were in their 90's and older, with cooking, cleaning, running errands, shopping, laundry, dressing, hygiene, meals, feeding, medications, dr and hair appointments. I gave strong emotional support to my clients as well as their families.
Although my employer, Gary Deam, lived in New York, I took care of his mother, Roseleen, who lived in Sacramento, CA. I cooked, cleaned, ran errands, did laundry, grocery shopping. I took her to beauty appointments and to dr appointments. I kept track of her health and meds.
I helped her with her personal hygiene, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, toileting giving attention to detail.
In her final months I worked with Hospice to keep her warm, dry and comfortable. I administered her Morphine. I was with her as she took her final breaths.
