Currently Working in HCL Technologies: on project - Cummins Inc as Senior Specialist. Our major responsibilities includes handling shifts as a shift Lead and includes managing administering 1550 Solaris Servers 750 Linux for Cummins domain .Cummins Inc (A Fortune 500 Company) is having its offices all across the Globe. Following are the core areas that have been working on and my job responsibility: Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue of Severs. Creating & Managing File Shares & providing access to users on them. Creating Accounts & Adding Groups and Other Unix Servers (Prod., Dev., Stg.) File System & Disk Space Management like space allocation / deallocation. Decommissioning/Server Build, managing the server remotely via ssh. Locking, Deleting & Password resetting for Unix Account. Printer Administration on both Solaris and Aix. Perform Patch upgrade on Servers. Handling issues related to Login script of user. Responsible for checking mail and reply to concern department. Adding Additional Virtual Memory (swap) as needed. Using Backup commands like ufsdump, tar. Creating Raid Level Using Solaris Volume Management. Knowledge Raid Level Using Veritas Volume Management. Handling Performance Tickets like iostat, vmstat, netstat Monitoring of disk space. Handling second level escalation problem tickets. Providing training to New Team. Following ITIL process structure for project Work ticketing tool like Remedy.
