I began my teaching career in 1995 as an assistant teacher with Rutherford County Schools Head Start. I later had the honor of being a family advocate for pre-school families. I went back to school in 2004 to complete my bachelor's degree. I chose to pursue a bachelors degree in Birth-Kindergarten because of the emphasis the degree had in child development and behavior. I also decided to add a K-6 teacher and B-K teacher to my teaching license.
