Achieved Lookout and Helmsman qualification, allowing me to stand a rotating watch which involved receiving and carrying out orders from the Officer of the Deck, Conning Officer and Boatswain's Mate. As lookout, stood outside on the weather decks for prolonged hours in mild to extreme weather conditions, scanning and reporting all surface contacts, their position, course, distance and relative speed. As Helm and Lee Helmsman, received and carried out verbal order from the Conning Officer in regards to ship's course and speed changes, and reported all errors received on the ship's control console.
