For four years I haven been preparing with skills that will make me a great candidate for my career job. While being a student I did a lot of research on health issues that didn’t just give me skills but that also grew my interest in public health. I am excited to graduate this May and hope to soon begin working to help all communities around me.
I did a internship at Madera County Department of Public Health back in 2020. During the time of my internship COVID-19 cases were really high and this created some barriers in me being able to get much experience. All my supervisors were busy which was understandable; despite their tight schedules I was able to to gain some experience. One of my assignments was to finish a questionnaire that was going to be conducted to the homeless population of Madera. The questioner consisted of 15 question. Other than this assignment I was also present during meetings between different departments that worked with Madera County.
