Driven and adaptable, I secured strong communication and collaborative skills at UW-Green Bay, enhancing customer satisfaction and working towards bettering work and educational environments. Skilled in storytelling and writing, I efficiently addressed inquiries and communicated my ideas and plans well, along with boosting office morale. My background includes proficient use of Fusion software, Microsoft Office, and a knack for maintaining high organizational standards (due to being extremely detail-oriented). I have been commonly recognized for taking proactive approaches to identifying and addressing issues, whether that be in a DEI, office, or classroom setting.
I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Wisconsin- Green Bay, and plan to pursue a career in writing with my English Creative Writing and Writing and Applied Arts degrees. I am passionate about writing, especially creative nonfiction, and speaking up about gendered and societal issues— hence my minors in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Humanities. My dream is to publish work that revolves around my experiences thus far as a Brazilian woman of color, and as a non-immigrant in the United States. Although fiction is something I still enjoy writing, I tend to lean more towards writing about my experiences and those of others, along with real life topics I am passionate about, hence my Writing and Applied Arts emphasis in Community Storytelling.
I am an international student on a non-immigrant visa here in the U.S. I have grown up in several countries, having been exposed to dozens of types of people and cultures, which has opened my eyes and ears to learning new things. This background has proven to be extremely beneficial and significant to molding who I am today, along with also pushing me to focus my writing on the human experience. As of now they normally relate back to me, but I am eager to broaden this scope.
