  • Cleaned patients’ rooms, common areas, and set up our daily cart for the floor or floors we had for that day.
  • Deep clean one or more rooms daily. Deep cleaning consists of cleaning the entire room and bathroom, from the walls to the bed frame, and everything in between. Then we are inspected to make sure we completed our tasks efficiently. We are also told what we missed, which is good, so we can go back and fix our errors, if we had any.
  • We worked in teams on our floor with a porter, the aides, and nurses. If the staff working directly with the patients needed anything that consisted of cleaning, moving, etc. We go and help because our patients live there, and it’s their home, so we treat it as their home. We are guests in their home.
