  • Conduct interviews with the UAC, parents/legal guardians, and/or other family members or adults to assess the viability in sponsorship and complete assessments to ensure sponsors can provide for UAC's physical and mental well-being.

Implement safe screening methods, including but not limited to the following, when contacting and facilitating communication with potential sponsors to ensure no potential sponsor poses as a risk to the UAC, other UACs in the care facility.
  • Maintain, update, and submit appropriate caseload documentation in physical case file, to ensure compliance with State, Federal organization policies, such as submitting Case Notes, Case Reviews, Individual Service Plans, Continuances, and Significant Incident Reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain contact with assigned clinician and other departments to ensure resident’s needs and concerns are being met.
  • Assisting the sponsor to fill out any paperwork associated with the FRP, and to assist the sponsor in obtaining any supporting documentation, maintain on-going communication with the sponsor, provide sponsor with detailed information about the UAC's needs such as criminal background, mental health, medical, etc., in order to fully assess the sponsor's ability to provide case and services for the UAC's individual needs.
  • Work in collaboration with the ORR/FFS and Case Coordinator, communication with the corresponding law enforcement officials about the UAC's pending release.
  • Knowledge of TVPRA cases; explain the process and the outcome/benefits to UACs that have been identified as trafficking victims.
  • Monitor, assess, and consult UAC case status and progress with department leads, other program departments, ORR/FFS, TPR/Case Coordinators, and any other entities involved in order to integrate all areas of assessment into a release plan that will provide for the physical and mental well-being of the UAC, as well as to ensure the quality of services provided and the timely release of the UAC.
