- My position is based on making sure our fluid system is looking good before we start a frac job. From running hydration test and making sure the gel looks good, with correct pH, and Hydrating at the appropriate time. Then we run pilot test. Making sure we have the right cross-link time for the job based on the pipe time. I make sure the acid was tested and the right % it should be at before running it. We also calculated ball drop and how many barrels to hit the plug. I also make sure we have the right types of sand the job calls for. During the job I make sure the fluids are running right chemicals are pumping at the right gallon per minute it called for. Any issues I address it to engineer and company man right away so everyone is aware, and a decision is made right away. To making suggestions to the company man based on the situation, from pressure, rates and to even cutting sand, on a high stage that hit the perforations. When issues happened proper recording took place, to down time from start to end of every frac stage, and that they are not charging us more than what the job called for, based off the totals of barrels used.
