I'm a wordsmith that understands the power of "less is more." My ample experience in both corporate America and freelancing has equipped me with the ability to build a company's image through highly effective messaging; and more importantly, craft messaging that drives results.
In this role I've acted as the primary project manager for large scale internal and external communication initiatives across channels such as web, email, mail, fax, and in person delivery. This involves making strategic content decisions, managing budgets, overseeing a team of writers, and generally solving any road blocks that arise between inception and distribution.
As an Equities Writer, I take the complex aspects of investing and make them easy to digest. This involves having a deep understanding of what financial topics are perplexing to investors, and then breaking them down so that anyone with a high school degree can both understand and apply what they learned to their own financial plans.
As a Senior Writer, I drove high-profile communications that required precise messaging and extremely tight turn around. This included crisis communications related to natural disasters, business critical notifications, and contractually binding deliveries. I also sharpened my technical writing skills in acting as the primary writer for the entire company's external facing operational manuals.
In this role I became an expert in efficient messaging. I learned to never waste words in my writing so that the main idea was always delivered. Whether its a promotional email, newsletter article, web copy or operational letter, my target audience always received the critical information within the first 1-2 sentences of the communication. This resulted in highly effective response metrics for the communications campaigns I drove.
