  • Cougar Depredation Clackamas county. Treed Depredation Lion for property owner out of Sandy Oregon December 2016. Problem Lion was killing sheep.
  • Maintaining health and records for all hounds.
  • Maintaining Immunization of hounds.
  • Hunting various climates for different species including the following States: Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Nevada, and Utah.
  • Trapping of Coyotes, Raccoons, Skunks, Opossums, Bobcats, Badgers.
  • Trapped (Dog proof sets) for numerous neighbors that had a problem with raccoons getting into numerous chicken pens. 2015-2023.
  • Live traps preferred for Bobcats: are the Norm blackwell tall and thin trap. For footholds I prefer any of the bridger series. Double long springs and Duke 450's.
  • Bucket Snares are preferred for trapping bears. (Used these while working for Long View Timber Company.) Trapping delinquent bears that destroyed Douglas fir saplings. January 2000-September 2008. May-September 1st every year. Also used hounds to tree bear for dispatch. All bear carcasses were donated to local food banks.
  • Coyote's various footholds currently using the MP550 and various Bridger traps. Trapped problem coyotes that were targeting livestock during calving season at the Diamond T ranch in Post Oregon. (Spring 2018)
  • Racoon Traps, Coon Cuffs (aka DP) to avoid house dogs. various live traps.
  • Other notables Coyote calling Fox Pro Hammer Jack 2.
  • Pursued problem Wolves out in Deer Lodge Montana. I utilized a fox pro to call them in. Never harvested but had plenty of time studying their habits and identifying sign. Jan 2021- Jan 2022.
  • Called a wolf in from the Meacham pack in 2020 while on a spring bear hunt.
  • Use of Thermal imager while in the USMC. 2009-2013
  • Use of drones for site surveying. Jan 2022- Jan 2023.

30 hrs a week minimum for 21 years. (longer if you count the time before I had a drivers license and would travel with my dad) Some weeks are longer when I am out of town mountain lion hunting. I have spent the better portion of my adult life running hounds and setting traps. I am capable of trapping beavers and otters as well but haven't done much being how I am usually focused on bobcats that time of year.
