Traffic controls ie; traffic lights, street signs and pavement markings, town-wide snow and ice control, (managed and additional 25-35 privately contracted employees during these events), Maintained cemeteries, parks, commons’

  • This position was very similar to the Operations Manager as both positions reported to the DPW Director. The Town had gone several years without the top position of Highway Superintendent due to health issues and during this time as Highway Foreman I performed the majority of the superintendents duties, the department was subsequently reorganized the Highway Department into a new Department of Public Works. I was offered the position of Highway Division Operations Manager and assumed that role in July 1999 which coincides with the fiscal budget year.
