
Remarkably-trained Medical Assistant utilizes medical and administrative skills to support patients and health care staff under supervision of physicians or nurses. ● Administers oral contrast at the direction of the technologist when appropriate.
● Digitizes and uploads images/film where appropriate in order to facilitate patient care.
● Actively monitors department work schedule in order to provide timely service.
● Keeps patients and front desk staff apprised of delays in order to foster good patient/guest relations.
● Transports patients when necessary.
● Deals discretely with sensitive, confidential patient information in accordance with hospital policy.
● Accesses patient files in hospital information system (HIS) via CRT, keyboard. Enters appropriate exam information in order to generate a requisition.
● Performs point of care testing using the I-STAT system on patients requiring CT or MRI contrast exams or other tasks appropriate for the particular Imaging care setting.
