Banking Center Manager

Indiana National Bank
06.1974 - 09.1990

I actually started my banking career as a teller in a neighborhood branch location. I then moved to the Card Center in the headquarters in downtown Indianapolis. There I called on regional banks in the St Louis, Missouri area managing their portfolio of delinquent credit card holders. I worked with those agent banks to grow their services, and reduce the outstanding balances. I then returned to branch banking division as a management trainee, assistant manager, and branch manager. Those positions were all in the Indianapolis area. In 1988 INB acquired a distressed bank in the Fort Wayne, IN area and they needed someone that knew INB banking services and also knew the Fort Wayne area. Since Fort Wayne was my hometown I was promoted to take the position and moved to Allen county.

I managed a local branch and also called on the other three locations to instruct their staffs on selling INB banking services.
