Marrisa Arndt

My name is Marrisa Arndt I am twenty-eight years old. I was born and raised in Kodiak Alaska. I am a cosmetologist and had the opportunity to study at the Aveda institute in Portland Oregon. I have decided to further my education in various ways. However, I'm going to take it one step at a time. I am currently raising 3 of my siblings as my dad is currently incarcerated. I decided to care for my siblings and be the someone I wanted when I was younger. Growing up the way I did wasn't what any child should nor want to experience. My mother was a drug addict for 17 years, and my dad was on and off with drugs however I wouldn't change the way I grew up for a second. Because it made me who I am today. I have been raising my siblings since 2017 and I love every minute of watching them grow. I also own a salon here in Kodiak and have been wanting to further my education and services to better serve my clients. I am currently planning to attend a training in Oregon that further expands my training in teaching me how to ombre shade eyebrows. I am very excited for this next chapter of my life as it will be life changing. I hope to grow and further my education as a cosmetologist as much as I can. I love helping my clients feel at their best as well as building new relationships with them daily. As a cosmetologist. the only way I can get better is by bettering my education and giving them the best of my knowledge. One of my biggest life goals is to be happy with everything I have and to always help people feel their best whether that be as a cosmetologist or just as a person. I hope to build even more relationships and business with this next step in furthering my education this spring. As for my future goals, I also recently moved my business to a bigger area and hoping to bring more employees in so they as well can provide clients with their best knowledge. The most important future goal I have is to continue to provide for the community I live in, for myself, and most importantly for my siblings.
