Maintain district official records and act as the official custodian of those records.

• Distributed copies of board minutes and actions to 5 members after each meeting.

• A trustee is charged by law with the control of the district's affairs and the provision of fire protection and other emergency services rendered by the district to the residents and property owners within the district.
• Granted full power to pass all necessary ordinances, and rules and regulations for the proper management and conduct of the business of the board of trustees of the fire protection district for carrying into effect the objects for which the district was formed. (70 ILCS 705/1)
• Engage in the acquisition,establishment, maintenance and operation of fire stations, facilities,vehicles,apparatus and equipment for the prevention and control of fire.
• Making sure that the service is adequately provides to our community and that the men and women who make-up the fire department are properly trained, equipped, and protected to provide the services.
• Levy taxes for all corporate purposes of the fire protection district.
