As Karl Lagerfeld put it
"I'm a fashion person and fashion is about all kinds of change ."
Those are truly my credentials.
From attending fashion shows in Paris and Milan to see my aunt model for Dior and Gianfranco Ferre ,to being part of the punk era fashion scene in London where I lived in the 80s,lining up for hours ,at least this is how at seemed ,with my Mom at the Rue Cambon Chanel store and experiencing this unique aura of beauty and elegance .
To me ,fashion is way more than putting on a nice outfit and carrying an expensive luxury bag,it's your image to the world .
I'm familiar with every fashion designer out their ,their stories ,inspirations and what makes them unique .
I'm in love with Vivienne Westwood's tailoring , her rebellious sense of style .
Suzie Cave's gothic touch In her 'The Vampire's Wife's brand,
'Comme Des Garcons ' raw edge styles and most definitely everything Chanel .
From Gabrielle's love affair with luxury ,to Karl's sophisticated impeccable pieces and ,with Viard's sophisticated and quintessential style ,the brand lives on .
My true inspiration in life is my husband who was a renowned machine learning engineer and a problem solver .
He taught me resilience and persistance and always encouraged me to pursue my passion for art and fashion .
He sadly passed away recently but he will continue to inspire and encourage me for a long time to come .
Sincerely,
Marwa Elberry
