Telecommunicator III

As a Telecommunicator III I still maintain the responsibilities of a Telecommunicator I & II but with added fire radio duties. On fire we dispatch routine calls for service, such as sicknesses of all kinds up to structure fires. In all positions of dispatch we maintain a level of team work, especially so on fire. We track multiple fire units in the county and send them to other jurisdictions for mutual aid In August 2013, I became a certified training officer. I have trained on the 911 system, Police radio, and am currently assisting on a fire radio training assignment

As a police dispatcher, I routinely send units to both emergency and routine calls. I mark them in service at times, but keep track of them throughout the day. We are responsible for tracking self intiated calls for service as well as calls sent by other telecommunicators within the room
