Reliable and punctual Animal Care team member with proven skills, cleaning animal areas, coordinating inventory and managing animal needs with care and compassion. Highly organized and hardworking with good communication and multitasking abilities. I am a very detailed person and want to see the job completed to standards every time. I have had a passion for animals for many years, and have done some volunteer work in the animal community. I currently serve as an administrator for a local lost and found group, and have a group I started to help with animal aide for pet owners. I have transported dogs for rescues, fostered for a rescue, and have found rescues for pet owners or dogs needing pulled from shelters. I have set up events to do microchips for pet owners to help raise funds for my animal aide group as well.
I have a variety of work experience , but my personal passion is with animals and the work I've done as a volunteer over the years. I have been given the title of "dog whisperer" by some of the people that know me and have seen me interact with the dogs. I am a fast learner and I am very detailed orientated person. I am always open to learning new things and believe I have the ability to be a great fit in any position.
I started off as a sales associate which involved running register and customer service, I was trained in the pet care department which involved feeding, cleaning, monitoring the well being of the animals, and preparing food for the animals in our care. The animals in care were fish, several types of reptiles, rodents, birds, and cats. I also stock shelves on truck days as well.
In September, I started training in the salon as a professional dog bather. Duties are answering phones, setting appointments, checking in pets for their appointments, hands on assessment, bathing dog per owners request of service, drying dogs either in the kennel or velocity dryer, ear cleaning, paw pad trimming, sanitary trims, nail trims and grinding. Cleaning kennels and work space after each dog leaves for home. Most of all practicing safety and keeping each and every pet in our care safe.
