Summary

Originally a regular education teacher in middle school with a passion for teaching all subjects in grades 5 through 8th. (A place I wish to return to after many years being a Special Education teacher). My skills and experiences from teaching over 30 years are extremely useful in accommodating students with different academic needs. These accomplishments will help me reach the various academic levels and challenges in a diverse regular education classroom.

Currently I am a TAB teacher (TAB= Teaching Appropriate Behaviors) with experience educating students with ED, OHI, LD, ODD, and on the Autism Spectrum. I have successfully navigated teaching in in-person, hybrid, and full-remote situations. I am LBS1, CPI certified, and licensed in Illinois. With over 13 years of writing IEPs, I am very knowledgeable of writing various parts of IEP paperwork and implementing IEP goals using a variety of interventions.
