While being a college undergrad student, I have been putting in the effort to meet new people, join different organizations, while also maintaining a 3.5 grade point average. I am a very outgoing and self-determined person. I hold myself at a high standard, setting goals that are sometimes impossible to reach. I am a very loyal and reliable to anyone that needs help with whatever is needed!
Being a lifeguard for five years, I have prevented accidents through proactive lifeguarding techniques and maintaining a watchful eye on swimmers. When watching swimmers there also is other safety jobs that need to be managed. It is important to watch for any potential hazard in the surrounding areas and tend to any safety issues, that could potentially provide harm to patrons. Enforcing pool rules and regulations while ensuring the safety of all patrons at the facility is very vital, enabling our customers to have a fun time while visiting our pool! We also make sure to review over safety and rescue practices, making sure that we are able to provide the best care possible in any situation.
As a Teacher Assistant, I have made a school website, which offers fundraisers and organizations on it. I have helped with the student yearbook and simpler jobs such as making copies, grading and stapling papers. . While working, I am promoting a positive learning environment by effectively managing any task given to me. I supported the teacher in monitoring students during lunch periods, recess, and other non-instructional times to maintain safety and orderliness.
Working in a daycare has been a very tough, but manageable job. With kids ranging from the ages of 0- 5 and can be as many as 18 kids a day, maintaining a clean, neat and hazard-free areas to protect kids and personnel is very important. I also provide lunchtime assistance to monitor children, assist with eating and serve food. Then, sanitizing dishes, tabletops, toys, and frequently touched surfaces to prevent spreading of germs. Frequently changing diapers and checking on their safety is a non-stop responsibility. I have a very large amount of love for children, so I overall loved this job and will assist at any time, when needed.
I am very hard worker with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly I also can provide leadership towards others, to achieve a certain goal I am a good communicator and able to receive information and deliver it properly I am a problem solver and willing to resolve any issues that may arise
I have been apart of the National Honor Society, both my junior and senior year of high school. I was awarded Spanish Excellence, being recognized as the top 5% of my class. I also received Bronze Level on my Workkeys test. Being apart of many organizations at my school, I have been elected secretary of anchor club and representative of student council for three years of high school. Playing multiple sports in high school, I was awarded Second Team all district and Honorable Mention award for basketball and awarded Top 10 all District runner for Cross country my sophomore year. While transitioning to college, I have been on the Dean's list for both the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semester.
I am CPR/AED certified by American Red Cross.
