During my time as a substitute teacher and as a student teacher during my internship, I was able to manage and control the classroom. Also, during my internship, I was able to develop and implement lesson plans for different subjects and grade levels. I taught 7th grade Civics, 10th grade US History I, and 11th grade US History II. These lessons plans and the tests I created followed the Alabama Course of Study. I also followed the IEP Plan guidelines laid out by the special education teacher. I also kept the students engaged throughout the lesson by asking them questions or having them do group activities. Finally, I tried to create a classroom environment where all students felt welcomed and included.
As a educational specialist for NACEE, I recruit students into our program across Jackson County. Part of my job is preparing students for life about high school and giving the proper resources for students to be successful. That includes tutoring, completing FAFSAs, offering ACT Prep, giving out ACT fee waivers, college application fee waivers, and meeting with my students on a regular basis.
I helped take of customers' yards by spraying weeds, nutsedge, dallas grass, etc.
I was a substitute teacher for Scottsboro City Schools. I subbed for different schools and grades throughout the school system. I watched over and taught the class in place of the teacher.
