Work History

Owner/President

TMC Home Improvements, LLC
09.2016 - Current

I own and operate a home improvement contracting business for home renovations of all types. I worked in construction as a young man and have always remained interested in building, repairs, tools etc.. We specialize in kitchens and bathrooms, but will take on any size or type of home renovation project. Some aspects of the business aside from the actual construction aspects are building quotes, site assessments, supervision and scheduling with subcontractors, budgeting, material procurement, and working within timelines and deadlines.

Sales is also a large part of being successful in construction. Being able to effectively communicate with customers to bring their projects to life is a skill in which I pride myself. This, of course, is an absolute must if you hope for repeat business and referrals to new customers. Your work and reputation is your business card.

I also partnered this company with another LLC, Tamco Holdings, that focuses on investment properties and rental properties. Growing my rental and investment property business is important to me for the future.

Project Manager, Welder/Fabricator

C & M Welding and Fabrication
04.2015 - 09.2016

This was a transition period for me as I was rediscovering some of my appreciation and passion for construction projects while helping the CEO of the company, my uncle David Chrisman, to remain on schedule with some larger projects. This proved to be a good fit for me mentally and spiritually to regain my strength after my illness as well as a major boost for his company, as I have many skills that apply to his business. My uncle has been a mentor for me my entire life and he was eager to help me.

My responsibilities included supervisory roles as well as hands on construction of various structural steel projects. Working within timelines and budget frameworks were important here, as well as working with other departments within the company to complete projects.

During this period, I also appeared on a popular construction program on the DIY channel, "Barnwood Builders", in a collaboration project between our two companies. I left C&M to pursue starting my own businesses.

Critical Care Registered Nurse

The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center
09.2010 - 03.2015

During my time at Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, I worked as a critical care float RN. I worked in all aspects of critical care and provided world class care in a world class facility as part of an inter-disciplinary team. I took this position to expand my knowledge base and to learn and develop new skills as a nurse and as a person.

I took patient assignments in Neuro critical care, Cardiac critical care, Medical critical care, Surgical, Trauma, and even covered ER when called upon. My role also required me to work in The James Cancer Hospital in all the critical care aspects listed above as well as all prescribed medical protocols, procedures, and care. With this expanded knowledge base, I began to be be able to fill any role in critical care that was asked of me. This made me extremely valuable to the organization. My willingness to be flexible and adaptable to multiple situations continues to be my strength.

In 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage 3B colon cancer. After undergoing surgeries and treatments while working fulltime and trying to continue my education, I put myself in a position where I needed to step away from healthcare and focus on my physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. I am now cancer-free, healthy, and excited to pursue new challenges.

Critical Care Registered Nurse

Ohio Health Grant Medical Center
08.2004 - 09.2010

After finishing Ohio Health's critical care fellowship, I began work at Grant Medical Center, which is a Level 1 Trauma Center, in the Surgical/Trauma ICU. Grant was, at that time, the premier level 1 trauma center in the state of Ohio. We received life-flight trauma victims from all over the state and I was fortunate to be able to play a role in the recovery of many victims of life-threatening trauma of all kinds. The high acuity of all the patients created a fast-paced, high-stress environment in which I learned to thrive. It was also during this time that I developed the communication skills that have served me so well in my time in the medical profession. Communicating effectively with the other members of the team, as well as the families of the patients became one of my strongest attributes.

During my time there I was elevated to charge nurse and became a valuable resource/resource person for less experienced team members and often precepted and mentored newer nurses. I also became AACN certified in critical care. I was also chosen to represent the night shift in The Adam Williams Initiative. After traveling to Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, California to train and observe new cutting edge procedures and protocols in the care of cerebral pathology and traumatic brain injury patients, we returned to Grant and wrote, tested, and implemented our own version of traumatic injury protocol in collaboration with the Neuro-surgical team as well as the Trauma surgical team. With this cutting edge protocol, we were able successfully, and cost-effectively treat and help to recover hundreds of patients before the time I left there.

I loved my time at Grant, but left to pursue new challenges as well as furthering my education at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.
