I enlisted in the United States Navy in 2013, shortly after graduating from high school. Following boot camp, I attended welding school, where I acquired fundamental skills in stick welding and brazing techniques. Upon completing my foundational training, I was assigned to Camp Pendleton, California, where I received specialized training in MIG and TIG welding. Over the course of four years, I focused on welding LCACs (hovercrafts), and I earned certifications in all positions for welding aluminum, stainless steel, and cast aluminum.
During my tenure at Camp Pendleton, I advanced to the role of project manager and team leader. In this capacity, I developed work packages for various welding operations, provided assistance to junior welders in fundamental tasks, and delivered training to junior fabricators on essential techniques and practices.
In December 2018, I transitioned from Camp Pendleton to attend the Navy’s master welder school, completing six months of training in San Diego, California. I was subsequently stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, from June 2019 to July 2024. In Norfolk, I fabricated and welded ship-specific components for 15 naval vessels, employing SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW processes across all positions, utilizing both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
In October 2023, I transitioned to a new shop to expand my technical expertise in SolidWorks, where I designed 3D parts, drawings, and blueprints. I continued to refine my welding skills while gaining proficiency in operating filament, resin, and metal 3D printers.
I honorably separated from the United States Navy in 2024 and chose to further my education by obtaining certifications in structural welding, achieving proficiency in all positions using SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes.
I graduated from High School in 2013 with a diploma focused on industrial technology. I obtained military certifications through the United States Navy in industrial and structural welding and fabrication. Additionally, I attended Workshops for Warriors where I earned American Welding Society (AWS) certifications in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), qualifying me for all positions under the AWS D1.1 standard for structural steel. I also used the modeling program SolidWorks to create 3D models, drawings, and blueprints.
