My experience in aquatics has been very dynamic. I started out as a beach lifeguard and was put through more intense training than most to earn their certifications. I have performed multiple real waterfront rescues during my time as a beach lifeguard. Since then, I have gained more insight and experience with camp programs and swim lessons in my time at the YMCA. Being a deck leader here has provided me with a new perspective on aquatics programs and I am eager to grow and learn more under the right guidance.

I also believe that my time in the military has provided me with skills that are vital to being a good aquatics professional. For most of my military career I was in leadership positions and had to learn at a young age how to guide others while also constantly trying to better myself. Some of my biggest strengths are flexibility and resiliancy, both of which are qualities that I would not otherwise have if not for my time as a Marine.
