Proven leader and efficient communicator through skills gained through my scouting career and Eagle Scout application process as well as cadet career through The Citadel. Adept in team leadership and verbal/written communication, demonstrated across roles from Team Leader as a Cadet Corporal to Heavy Machine Operator at Summit Materials. Achieved strong safety record and excelled in high-pressure environments, showcasing mental and physical stamina and commitment to excellence.
Through these experiences, I gained not only a greater appreciation for the boundary waters of Minnesota and Canada as well as the mountainous backcountry of New Mexico but also a devotion to our beautiful and sacred country. I saw teamwork and leadership carry my troop through hardships and was shown true leadership in high-stakes environments by my highly competent Scoutmasters. I gained a true appreciation for living by the Scout Oath and Law.
Through my first year at The Citadel I was taught the importance of followership through the hardest fourth-class system in the nation and formed the tightest bonds with my classmates while learning how to function to meet high standards with limited sleep and resources. I then attained the rank of Cadet Corporal and arrived early on campus for the school year of 2024-2025 to be trained on leading freshmen through challenge week and cadre period. This on-the-ground leadership has allowed me to refine my skills while leading a small group of eight freshmen within my company. I have seen their growth as well as my growth through the first semester by following the guidances of the school as well as advice from my superiors and mentors.
