Summary

During my time at the CITA rehabilitation program in Santiago, Chile. My team and I were tasked with designing and carrying out activities that would foster a greater sense of camaraderie among participants, and serve as a tool to work on social skills such as: empathy, conflict resolution, how to vocalize emotions, gender roles in the modern day, and more. It was a very moving experience and it allowed me to take my first step into the actual practice of psychology. I was fortunate enough to hear the members' stories, form meaningful connections, and talk about difficult subjects. As a person I was grateful for the experience, and as a professional it was one of my most useful opportunities in working on empathy and communication.
