
During his capstone project in his time as an undergraduate, Maxx was an effective team member, coordinating ideas between his team members and managing time to complete given tasks at hand. He also engaged in public speaking and outreach to high school students in the Los Angeles area. He managed the time spent working on his degree with his job as an EMT, serving patients in Los Angeles and Orange counties. He calmly and professionally handled hundreds of various emergency situations, carrying out medical care in coordination with the local hospitals and fire departments. Currently, he works as the Lab Assistant for the EMT and Paramedic schools at Saddleback College, where he manages equipment needed for the skills portions of these programs. He coordinates the needs of instructors on lab days and takes initiative on projects given to him by instructors, program directors, and the dean.
