Mazie Gee

I am a motivated, quick learner, and eager to be a part of a research team to further my knowledge, skills, and experience in a laboratory setting. I have 30 hours of experience in genetic engineering training through Phillips Exeter Academy. My experience includes manipulating cellular processes to create novel organisms and desired protein products. I have experience in laboratory skills such as PCR, restriction digests, bacterial transformation, cell culture, protein purification, pipetting, sterile technique. I am able to work independently and pay close attention to detail. I was able to successfully modify bacteria to glow under UV light (pGLO) and extracted glowing jellyfish protein (GFP). Given the opportunity, I feel I would be an asset to the research team.
