Affiliations

  • I enjoy painting in my free time. Teaching myself how to paint took a lot of patience in the beginning, and through that patience i learned how to apply it to an everyday skill that helps me apply this trait in my work life. Its helped me develop a good work ethic by learning to listen to my patients and develop good communication between myself and those who i work with and those who i assist everyday.

Accomplishments

  • I received a beautifully written letter of recognition from a patient's family member who had recently passed. They thanked me for going above and beyond for the care i gave to their family member while they were admitted to the hospital. They recognized me for the patience and patient care i gave to their family member who was suffering from dementia and was having difficulty allowing care members to assist them with daily cares when the patient wouldn't allow anyone else to assist them. They commented on my willingness to listen and understand the patient's concerns and my encouragement to the patient to participate in their own care and not just do it for them. I gave the patient something to look forward to everyday.
