- As a correctional officer at Big Muddy River Correctional Center, my job duties included, but were not limited to, maintaining custody and control of adult male individuals in custody in a medium-security prison.
- Also, it was my responsibility to facilitate the institutional count for Individual in Custody Services, ensuring individuals in custody attended scheduled programs (i.e., school, chapel, recreation, etc.).
- It was also my duty to maintain security and safety for staff, individuals in custody, and visitors.
- I enforced disciplinary standards in the facility and upheld Illinois statutes as it pertained to incarcerated persons for more serious violent offenses which occurred in a facility setting.
- Currently assigned as the Intelligence Coordinator in the Intelligence Unit, where I interview individuals in custody, conduct investigations, establish CI/CS(s), and monitor Security Threat Groups for the safety and security of the facility.
