In addition to providing holistic care to patients with complex medical conditions, I have served alongside by colleague and partner to manage ECS wellness, an MGB-Community Affiliated Practice. This includes quality improvement and standardization of patient care.

My patient approach to care focuses on Mind-Body Medicine, Cannabinoid Medicine, Herbal Medicine, Nutrition, and Lifestyle Medicine to enhance health and wellness.

I serve as the only Cannabinoid Care Nurse Practitioner within the MGB System, presenting and educating about the Endocannabinoid System and Cannabinoid Care.

Acute Consult Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner

  • Lead Inpatient Nurse Practitioner for all acute orthopedic consults, assessing and diagnosing the patients orthopedic injury. Collaborating with the orthopedic surgeon on call to develop the plan of care.
  • Preparing patients for surgery, including medical clearance, collaborating with hospitalists as necessary,
  • Developed the postoperative anticoagulation protocols with the collaboration of the Chair of Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Managed patients medically when admitted to orthopedic surgery service, ordering necessary diagnostic testing and imaging to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Served to improve quality of care and communication among the patients multidisciplinary team.

  • Lead a group of Nurse Practitioners ensuring group standards are met, while working on program development and group expansion
  • Managed complex patients on a 48 bed unit with the MGB mission to provide high quality care, while maintaining the goal of reducing length of stay and preventing acute hospitalizations
  • EPIC super user supporting other providers in the startup of a new electronic medical record
  • Efficiently evaluate medically complex patients post acute stay, providing thorough evidenced based assessment, diagnostic testing, and interventions, with appropriate consultation and referral to specialists, as necessary for effective patient outcomes
  • Coordination of patient centered care with a multidisciplinary team consisting of the patient, family, nurses, therapists, care management, social work, nutrition, and attending physician, to help the client achieve their highest potential for secure discharge back to the community
  • Confident ability to discuss end of life decision making with patients, family members, and additional providers, when necessary; assisting patients and families in explanation, and completion of the MOLST form, ensuring that all questions are answered effectively for complete understanding of end of life wishes
