Summary

As a dedicated and passionate employee of the Beaumont Health System for 30 years, this journey started as a newly graduated RN working on the Medical Progressive Care Unit, continued with a growing desire to care for critically ill patients on the Trauma Intensive Care Unit, and progressed to one who strived for excellence and expertise in an even more challenging environment to become an extraordinary, compassionate and well-respected Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. With nearing 20 years of experience as a CRNA, many skills have contributed to being well-trained in airway management, anesthesia administration, and pain management. Moreover, while on-the-job experience has earned a well-rounded skill set, including critical analytical and problem-solving abilities, the more than 7 years of experience in the leadership role of South Tower Board Runner has enriched autonomy and communication skills. This additional experience included overseeing the daily operation and administrative tasks of the anesthesia department, being a liaison between Anesthesiologists, staff CRNAs, and anesthesia resident physicians, coordinating staff, making daily assignments and handling staff issues. This professional experience has contributed to becoming more resourceful and approachable, while developing a resilient character with tremendous grit.
