Throughout my employment with Lawton Public Schools I have been a year to year employee working in kindergarten classrooms as an assistant. I have worked as a reading tutor and I have also been a substitute teacher for many years. I was hired as a personal care assistant then moved to be a Resource Teachers Class Size assistant. The last year I worked with two teachers and worked with 60 students through out the week. I want students to know that we all are learners and we all will make mistakes that shows we are trying. Practice makes progress and that is the best way to grow in any area of life. I remind them that we all have bad moments but that does not mean we have to let that bad moment turn into a bad day. There is always a positive to focus on. I have worked in a self - contained autism class three years and have been a one on one as well. I am a Senior at Cameron University Psychology is my major and I have finished my minor in Special Education.
