Ever since I was little, I always wanted people to feel seen. I love giving people compliments and seeing them light up. Ever since I can remember, I knew I wanted psychology/mental health to be a part of my life. Even though my jobs I have had werent psychology related I do believe it is all around us and that will never go unnoticed by me. I would love the chance to get into this type of position. I am willing to learn, and even willing to fail at times if it makes me grow. I am willing to take the time to train to become successful in any position that is presented to me. I may not be experienced to my full potential, but I am eager and willing to learn.
As a barista, one thing I value most is the people, not just because they are here at my place of work but because they are people who have their own struggles. My job is to make coffees, take customers' orders, and run a full shift smoothly and successfully. Any chance I get I love talking to people, getting to know them, their lives, what they love etc., and also getting to talk about Jesus, which is very important to me. I feel as though even though i'm just making coffee I can still make a difference and make someone's day, making them feel valued and important because they are.
Maintained cleanliness and organization in patients' rooms to enhance their comfort and well-being. i would go to patients' rooms and clean and organize; they derserve to feel comftable. Engaged with patients through conversation, providing companionship and emotional support. Being in a long-term care facility definitely got me used to being in a hospital setting.
