shift lead expectations at dutch bros included the following responsibilities:
managing shift positions for optimal customer experience, opening and shutting down the espresso bars, managing the till, handling daily deposits, cash pulls each shift, and making sure the change box is in order. we are responsible for wait times and handling negative experiences at each window, making sure baristas meet dress code requirements, and having coaching conversations with baristas who are struggling to meet their job description expectations. we make the sanitation water for the sink and test it to comply with health code, thoroughly clean each station at closing and communicate shop supply needs to management.
barista expectations include making sure bar equipment is clean at all times, that the customer experience is always the priority, to adhere to written standard for recipes and order of operations within shop and to work with urgency and kindness. and to fulfill your given tasks from your lead each shift before you clock out.
duncan was my introduction to the barista world but it lacked quality at every aspect, i opened and closed the store daily and management took care of the money, the espresso machine was down during the time i worked there so i mostly just sold food and cold brews and cleaned as best i knew how to, i was never given a job description or expectations but i loved the customers and knew basic recipe rules and served them to the best of my ability
