*Provide direct supervision to 7 APS caseworkers and 1 intern who work with vulnerable adults age 18 and up. APS investigates reports of self neglect or abuse and exploitation of individuals unable to protect themselves. Typical tasks include case management, financial management, connection to community services, providing presentations to various entities regarding APS role and purpose, accessing Supreme Court for involuntary interventions.

*Serve as DSS's representative on the Enhanced Multi Disciplinary Team working with law enforcement, the district attorney's office and local agencies to address cases of abuse and financial exploitation that may constitute a crime.

*Serve as the county's Family Type Home Coordinator.

*Assign work which includes in excess of 300 new referrals a year to manage workflow.

* Managing the use of and monitoring Schenectady County's allotments of various federal grant monies specific to APS in excess of $100k to ensure regulatory compliance, and writing reports to NYS on the grant monies usage.

*Provided direct supervision to 6 Family Support caseworkers who provided long term case management to families with open Children's Services cases for either court ordered or voluntary services, including foster care cases.

*Assisted in preparing neglect and abuse petitions, permanency hearing reports and court ordered investigations for family court.

*Ensured understanding of and compliance with OCFS rules and regulations.

*Ensured collaboration with CPS during investigations of alleged abuse/maltreatment and with various agencies providing county contracted preventive services.

*Assigned new cases to ensure work flow

*Conducted investigations of alleged child abuse and maltreatment in compliance with OCFS rules and regulations. Investigations included forensic interviewing of children and parents, collecting collateral information relative to CPS investigations, assisting in preparing for and testifying in Family Court Art. 10 and criminal court proceedings, including preparing family court petitions, court orders, and court ordered 1034 investigations and collaborating with law enforcement and various service providers.

*Provided case management to individuals diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness living in supportive apartments in the community, including coordination of mental health and medical treatment, crisis management, making regular home visits , creating and implementing service plans based on the clients needs.

*As the agencies Funding Specialist, worked with individuals diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness to ensure that disabled clients had viable sources of income and that the agency and clients maintained compliance with Social Security Administration.

*As a case worker in the Supported Apartment program, provided case management to individuals diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness, including coordination of mental health and medical treatment, making regular home visits, monitoring daily clients compliance with psychotropic medications, crisis management.

*As a Program Manager for Lancaster House, managed a 24/7 awake supervised 12 bed community residence for individuals diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. Duties included ensuring that clients mental and physical health, vocational and social needs were being met. Supervised 5 staff members, including ensuring coverage of shifts, writing and implementing service plans, and ensuring compliance with agency rules and regulations.
