The federal government utilizes several "destruction teams" or related units for different purposes, primarily to ensure the safe handling and destruction of hazardous materials, including weapons of mass destruction, as well as to support emergency response efforts.

• Issue temporary identification and visitor badges
• Screen visitors and employees entering or leaving the site as directed
• Escort non-cleared personnel within restricted closed areas.
• Sanitize and destroy classified materials and confirm it's not visible prior to non-cleared personnel entering the area

• Maintain order in emergencies. Make special investigations as assigned and complete reports as required. Cooperate and coordinate with all city, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
