I am knowledgeable in a variety of different engines, transmissions, and differential combinations, including some foreign makes and models. The majority of the vehicles that I repair daily are GM, Ford, Toyota, and Nissan makes and models. Over the years I have performed several different types of engine rebuilds. I have experience with carbureted, tune port and throttle body engines. In the past 15 years I have built several GM small block engines, rebuilt a few Big Block GM engines, and a few 22R Toyota engines. I have experience in a few different types of L/S engine swaps, also with some of those being hard wired. This was long before vehicle wiring and electrical became made somewhat more simple with the wiring harnesses that can be purchased today. I have performed many GM camshaft replacements for several different customers, and in my own personal vehicles also. Although any type of domestic vehicle really wouldn't be my preference, I have diagnosed and repaired a small number of these vehicles also.
