Mechanical Work Leader LBES test site. As lead mechanic I conduct and oversee all regular and preventative maintenance projects, providing support and instructional training for all on-site projects. Including but not limited to, Gas turbine main propulsion and ship service generators, fuel and lube oil purifiers, pumps, valves and piping. Conduct fuel deliveries and Hazmat removals, train shop personnel on the same.

Supervised Union labor in the safe loading and unloading of breakbulk and containerized cargo. Maintained time sheets, observed and enforced safety standards with regards to shipboard and facility operations.

Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of 80 plus electric and gas powered golf carts, Maintained and repaired various grass cutting and earth moving equipment, including but not limited to: riding mowers, tractors, backhoes, chemical sprayers, weed trimmers chain saws, wood chippers and sprinkler pumps. Maintained repair records for all equipment. Responsible for spare parts and consumable ordering and inventory.

Inventory management and delivery of HVAC equipment and supplies. Installation of HVAC duct work and associated hardware, residential and commercial applications.

Administered and conducted tank barge and tugboat inspections IAW Code of federal regulations (33, 46,49 CFR). Onsite safety coordinator for daily facility operations. Researched and conducted safety inspections with federal agencies and various US and international class societies, ensuring fleet compliance with US laws and international standards for transportation of petroleum products.

Retired CWO2 Naval Engineering, Over my 20 plus year career I was responsible for the maintenance and repair of Main Propulsion and Auxiliary ship board equipment I trained all personnel in the Engineering department in the maintenance and repair of all shipboard mechanical equipment. Conducted law enforcement boardings of both domestic and foreign flagged merchant vessels. 4 years as a Machinery Technician school instructor, specializing in machine shop and hydraulic systems.
