Summary

Mike Rusenko recently served as an aviation program manager with Fugro USA Land Inc. Aviation Division, he has extensive experience planning, directing and managing Fugro flight crews, aircraft and all of the aerial imaging systems. Mr. Rusenko has over 50 years of experience in the Geo Spatial industry, acting as an aircrew member, operations business manager, project manager and program manager. This range of experience enables Mr. Rusenko to advise clients concerning the best solutions for Geo Spatial projects and to provide the technical direction and leadership necessary to ensure that the final product will fulfill all intended uses. Working within the Fugro group since 1974, Mr. Rusenko has been instrumental with the development of airborne GPS technology, IMU, digital aerial camera system, lidar, microwave/thermal sensor, orthophotography, and digital imagery and most recently our airborne radar systems. Managing the development and incorporation of a variety of airborne sensors into the airborne data acquisition process, Mr. Rusenko established technical and quality control procedures, hardware and software configurations, and personnel training. In addition Mr. Rusenko has been responsible for all aviation related cost and time estimates on projects with all levels of complexity and budgets. Mr Rusenko has directed aerial data acquisition for statewide digital orthophotography and lidar programs in Maryland, Vermont, Tennessee, Delaware, New Mexico, Nevada, Montana, Idaho, California, Texas, Indiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi. He has also directed flight operations for numerous International projects in Europe, Caribbean, Central and South America.

  • USACE St. Louis District, Indefinite Delivery Contract, Directed all flight operations for three multi-year contracts requiring aerial data acquisition missions for projects ranging from small to large, from collecting aerial photography to acquiring data using new and emerging technologies such as lidar and GeoSAR.
  • NC Statewide Floodplain Mapping Program, Directed acquisition of lidar for 72 counties in phases 1, 2, and 3 of this first-of-its-kind statewide floodplain mapping program requiring lidar data acquisition.
