1976 - 2003, Wholesale member IACA (international Indian Arts and Crafts Association). 1989 – authored IACA comments and suggestions for rules and regulations promulgated by the Indian Arts and Crafts Board of the US Department of the Interior for the Indian Arts and Crafts Act, of 1990. 1996 - 2000, Served as a handmade jewelry expert, and market inspector for the annual IACA Spring markets. My duties as Market Inspector were to inspect vendors ,and exhibits, and in that capacity to identify , cite and remove from the markets, foreign and domestic counterfeits, fakes, non-compliant, and non-authentic Native American Arts and crafts.
2000-2003: Served as a board member, and law enforcement liaison for IACA. My duties as a board member were to review, discuss, and vote on regular association business, to vet new association applicants, develop and implement marketing strategies, and to identify and personally invite IACA compliant businesses to join the organization. As Law Enforcement Liaison, duties included liaising with the Director of IACA, and Acting Director, and employees of the National Indian Arts and Crafts Board (IACB) - US Dept of the Interior. During this period I also served as a consultant to IACA Market Inspectors.
