diagnose and repair heavy machinery. from oil changes to engine rebuild. work with skidders,log loaders,dump trucks,dozers. rebuild engines ,transmissions, axles. Able to respond quickly and work safely.

• Started out welding for forestry company, building armer and guards for dozers, fabricated shear blades for shearing stumps made from AR steel with hard surfacing. After 3 years with company most mechanics left so i had to learn mechanics from my shop supervisor Clint Yeary who also taught me how to work on semi trucks along with heavy equipment. when dozers would fail to operate in field i would have to go diagnose the machine and repair it so operator could work.

• Drilling 5-7 holes a week shallow wells around 1600 to 2500 feet with a single and double derrick rigs with kelly, keeping safe work place . when we ran out of holes to drill i ran work over rig as well. stayed working till work got to slow ,i moved to texas. owner of company Mr. Tony James

• Welded in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Inspected welds and checked critical measurements to meet specifications.
• Fabricated shop parts directly from blueprints.
• Removed and repaired unacceptable welds with air arc and grinder to meet quality guidelines.
• performed welding for H&P drilling and Exxon mobile here in east texas. Installed well heads, conductor pipes, flow lines. structure welding on derricks and substructures along with mud tanks.

• Monitored drilling operations and machines.
• Maintained compliance requirements, work instructions and program procedures to promote safety.
• Monitored employee safety and coached workers on safety standards and procedures to prevent injuries.
• Provided expertise to support day drilling operations. started with cactus just a roughneck worked my way up to motors then derricks then to driller i learned the rig from top to bottom. i worked all the time staying over filling in for other hands. out of 365 days i was on the rig 342 of them. After drilling for several years i received more well control training supervisor level and was able to be promoted to tool-pusher. working as pusher for almost two years the bottom fell out of the oil field again and our company started stacking rigs so i went back to drilling to stay working. then i left cactus and went to work for nomac drilling for a better position.

started out roustabout work up to floor hand then shaker hand, relieved derrick hand some in derricks and on pits. rig joe alfford semi submersible. ended up letting my kinfolk talk me into leaving offshore and starting on land rig with relatives .

Worked floors on triple kelly Rig, spudding in fast drilling, slow drilling, cleaning rig, picking up pipe , laying down pipe. running csg & cementing. rig moves.
