Interpret and administer leaves of absence and FMLA/state leave entitlement
programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state laws.
· Under limited supervision, serve as a skilled resource for leaves of absence and
FMLA/state leave entitlement programs.
· Approve and/or deny leaves of absence and FMLA/state leave entitlement requests based on relevant medical information.
· Coordinate and organize all medical information and ensure that HIPAA and Employee Privacy guidelines are closely monitored and executed effectively.
· Provide extensive case management and coordinate administrative aspects of the cases and claims.
· Work closely with associates and managers to ensure all processes are completed
timely.
· Interact with managers and Associate Relations to secure all necessary information in order to process terminations to meet payroll deadlines.
· Provide direct support to associates via telephone and/or electronic communication
methods.
· Process leaves of absence and terminations in Workday. Assist associates and
managers to update information in Workday such as transferring an associate, terminating an associate and entering time away.
· Provide exemplary customer service and assistance to associates, executives and Human Systems business partners.
