· Add all cultural resources and survey data in National INFRA/NRM Heritage database.

Data Management Accomplishments:

· Create, manage, all documentation of cultural resources: responsible for managing all incoming field forms; converting these to final forms in Word and Adobe pdf format.

· Advise the field crews on standards for completing the field forms.

· Scanning field forms and other documents for long-term storage. Scanning artifacts to create images for use in reports and resource records.

· Downloading and organizing GPS field data. Liaison with the field crews as questions arise concerning the data.

· Converting GPS data to GIS data.

· Using GIS to prepare final form maps.

· Downloading and preparing photographs from the field, preparing photologs for inclusion in reports and resource records.

· Processing collected artifacts and preparing them for long-term curation.

· Maintain the Modoc National Forest Site Concordance in Excel: add and update sites as needed.

· Maintain the Priority Heritage Asset tracker in Excel; determine which sites are due for monitoring each field season and prep these for a field crew.

· Prepare Cultural Resource Survey reports.

Crew Leader Accomplishments:

· Served as the Modoc National Forest Section 110 crew leader in 2012 and 2013 field seasons.

· Served as a Modoc National Forest Section 106 crew leader in the 2008 and 2009 field seasons.

· Designed and supervised a Passport in Time survey with 12 volunteers using metal detectors to locate and record an historic military road.

· Developed strategies to complete work efficiently and accurately.

· Directed team members to encourage efficient and cohesive teamwork.

· Ensured that archaeology work assignments were carried out in a safe, timely manner according to established standards and procedures.

· Adapted established ground search strategies according to project requirements.

· Compiled and reported information about the nature and extent of known cultural resources.

· Trained new field crew members in archaeological survey, site monitoring, and site recording, in the use of field equipment (GPS devices, compass, digital camera), and in techniques to protect cultural resources.

· Assisted the Forest Archaeologist supervising members of the public for Passport in Time projects. This included survey, finding and recording of cultural resources.

· Supervised Priority Heritage Asset site monitoring.
