I am a dedicated wife, mother of four, and an entrepreneur. I left JetBlue Airlines to dedicate myself to raising our children. Together, we established Rainey Transport Services and Rainey Family Farms, LLC, which we continue to operate.
Since graduating from high school many years ago, I have held various jobs. These include roles as an Inflight Crew member at JetBlue Airlines, a radio personality on 92.9 The Bull in Yakima, WA, a warehouse worker at Ace Hardware, a barista, a farmhand at Lazy H Ranch, and an employee at Cenex, a local farm store in Lynden, WA. Each job has contributed to the skills I possess today.
While the primary focus for the past 16 years has been raising four children and assisting my husband in managing two businesses, I am a diligent and enthusiastic job applicant with robust organizational abilities, keen to gain deeper insights into the Agriculture industry and connect with the people who form its backbone.
Rainey Family Farms, LLC specializes in agricultural services. The business offers hauling and sales of hay, grain, and apples to farmers and ranchers, along with custom loading and livestock transportation. Outside the office, the responsibilities include loading hay onto semi-trucks, cattle hauling, overseeing custom beef sales, fence construction, selling grain and small bales of hay, and conducting general farm tasks like parts delivery, scale checks, hay analysis, shop management, and various farm duties.
Rainey Transport Services manages all equipment, with a focus on expanding a trailer rental fleet and facilitating equipment sales. Normal responsibilities include overseeing rental agreements for commodity trailers, maintaining records of equipment sales, purchases, and permits, as well as licensing. Additionally, I secure the required funding, oversee marketing and advertising, and perform general office duties.
As the children grow, I am eager to re-enter the workforce and prepare for the day they embark on their careers. I am seeking a new challenge, a career that offers growth and learning opportunities long after the children have graduated and started their own families and careers. I believe a work-from-home opportunity would greatly complement my current lifestyle.
Growing up, I engaged in various sports, which honed my competitive spirit and drive to excel in every facet of life.
In 2002, I had the honor of being Miss Rodeo Washington. Post competing in the Miss Rodeo America Pageant, I retired my crown and transitioned into the workforce.
I have served as the Vice President of the Columbia Ridge Elementary PTO board, volunteered at various school events for our children, assumed several positions within the Columbia Basin Barrel Racing Club, fulfilled the duties of a Royalty Director, and coached Micro Soccer for the Columbia Basin Youth Soccer Association.
My greatest accomplishment is my children. They exhibit diligence and a competitive spirit in all their endeavors. Participating in a variety of activities, they have achieved top ranks in several sports, including Football, Ice Hockey, Volleyball, Soccer, Gymnastics, Softball, and Track, as well as in Junior High and High School Rodeo, Light Rifle Shooting, and Junior Rodeo. Additionally, they take pleasure in snowboarding, snow and water skiing, duck hunting, and showing pigs and lambs at the local fair, approaching both leisure and responsibilities with intense enthusiasm.
I am eager for the chance to join an industry dedicated to serving others and to stay involved for many years to come, long after my children have grown up. Serving others is of great importance to me.
Thank you for considering my application.
I was the 2002 Miss Rodeo Washington and grew up competing in 4-H, FFA and Junior Rodeo.
While I recognize the duration of my absence from the workforce, I have concurrently acquired additional skills and knowledge through managing our businesses. Age serves as an incentive to pursue a career that offers growth opportunities beyond physical constraints. I am committed to the agriculture industry for the long haul and am eager to expand my learning.
