Dispatch AEP’s generation assets into a specific market or control area. Responsible for communicating with power plants located within a geographical region, and dispatching generation from those units to support the economic needs and reliability of that market or control area.

n Perform necessary tasks to maintain the reliability of the grid without consulting upper management. Maintain seamless communication with the Control Area Operator/ISO during times of potential grid instability and work with them to maintain stability at all costs.

n Verbally communicate real-time capability changes of AEP generation fleet’s to Shift Supervisor, the appropriate hourly trader, on-call production coordinator, and the bid offer cost development analyst.
