As an account manager I offer secured loans to individuals, with items of personal property used as collateral. We assess the items as well as the individual's long standing history with the pawn shop and their ability to repay the loan with interest. Loans are based on the market value of the items brought in, the higher the loans the higher the interest on the loan, the higher the risk. Thus, it becomes super important to qualifying the customer. When and if the items are forfeit, it becomes another opportunity to make sales and maximize profits margins. I met and exceeded the majority of the set monthly quotas, outselling other co-workers that have been in the business for years more than me.
At T-Mobile store I was the only bilingual Spanish speaking sales person and the most knowledgeable about products themselves, from systems such as Citrix and RQ4 to morning and nightly openning/closing procedures. In no time, proved to be a top sales person by meeting and exceeding monthly set quotas for many different metrics for majority of the time. Some of these metrics included sales of devices, new activations, upgrades, acquired features, along with accessories while also maintaining consistent positive customer feedback. Other responsibilities was to scan in and count daily/weekly inventory, close the store securely each night and create cash/check deposits along with every and any end of the day paperwork and tasks needed by myself. I was the go to person with any technical issue with troubleshooting devices and dealt with most of the customer service issues that I could deal with at a store level. I took initiatives by filling in for others while understaffed and sacrificed many days off to help trained others successfully. I learned a lot from the wireless business perspective such as the advantages of being knowledgeable with up to date information and tools about beneficial sales and promotions and how to use them in a time of need.
At Cricket wireless I was awarded best sales representative in the entire North Carolina region for 7 consecutive months. I also provided daily support as the store's only bilingual Spanish/English customer service representative. I inspected and troubleshooted devices and completed warranties and insurance claims on a daily basis. I helped with the training of new employees and to get them ready to start selling with confidence. I would be the closer and lock the store securely and count out the money for the day and prepared the deposits for the next day.
In Home Goods I was in charge of 1/3 of the entire store. I took care of maintaining the big ticked products which ranged from $50 up to $1000. I conducted weekly walk-through with the General Manager to discuss all interior visual displays including store window presentation. I was responsible organizing the store accordingly from furniture, lamps, 12 ft. rugs and wall decor to ringing customers out at the registers. One of my main responsible to persuade customers into getting the company's credit card.
