Hired with the Portales Police Department as a Police Officer in August of 2023

• Conducted regular patrols to ensure community safety and deter criminal activity.
• Responded promptly to emergency calls, providing effective support and service.
• Conduct investigations and complete clear and concise reports and other departmental documents.
• Prepared detailed reports, documentation and incident reports.
• Developing a strong working relationship with the citizens of Portales, both ethical and professional.
• Became a Field Training Officer for the department in February of 2024.
• Train new officers and experienced officers new to our department, in its policies and procedures.

• Enforced local and state laws to maintain public safety and order.
• Conducted thorough investigations of criminal activities and incidents.
• Development in writing skills, communication skills, organizational skills, and drug recognition skills.
• Development in DWI investigation skills and articulation of events.
• Became a SWAT operator in 2019 and completed Basis SWAT school in 2020.
• Hold assigned positions when tasked with SWAT call-outs in Clovis and surrounding areas.
• Assigned tasks include but not limited to: Perimeter, Breacher, Immediate action team and Grenadier.
• Maintained Physical readiness by successfully completing the SWAT fitness test twice a year.
• Maintained tactical readiness by attending SWAT training twice a month and receiving exemplary scores for State and SWAT firearms qualifications.
• Became a Master Police Officer in 2020 and assigned to Patrol division.
• Assisted supervisors with daily shift operations and shift coordination.
• Provided guidance and support to officers during calls of service.
