Medic has been very special to me and my family, since my daughter's Aplastic Anemia diagnosis in 2021. I had never given a drop of blood, but wanted to support her with her illness. To show support, I gave a platelet donation in August of 2021. I have continued to max out my platelet donations each year since that fist donation. I know that Abbey is alive today because someone donated platelets before she needed them. I understand the importance of regular platelet donations, because of their short shelf life, and the great need for patients like Abbey. It is my passion to give and encourage others to do the same. Partnering with Medic is the best way that I know to help save lives through the donation of platelets. It truly is a matter of life and death.
